A. Todd Black, CFP® is passionate about helping families to make smart choices about their money so they can live their ideal lives. He has strong personal relationships with his clients and typically advises multiple generations on financial and personal matters.
Todd founded Dogwood Capital Management in 1999 and has over 20 years of financial experience. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance at the University of Arizona and completed his Certified Financial Planner® Coursework at Oglethorpe University. He adheres to the rigorous ethical and technical standards of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) which is the largest professional association of comprehensive, "Fee-Only" Certified Financial Planners® in the United States.
He is a voracious reader and loves to write. His blog has received favorable reviews and his articles have been published in various consumer magazines, websites and professional journals. He has been quoted in numerous regional and national publications including the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Business Week, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and American Cowboy Magazine.
Todd is involved in the community through Rotary International, Leadership Forsyth, the Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce, the Knights of Columbus and is an active parishioner at the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd in Cumming, GA. He enjoys meeting new people and learning new things.
